The game so far has some puzzle aspects, but I think those will appear much later in the game. Now I will not say anything about the story because that will kill the experience if you plan on getting this game. However it seems like it has a similar setting/feel to the original title, but it has an interesting story to it. This is a slight taste of the game I have experienced, but so far I believe this game isn't a direct sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Decent. Also the sanity meter is gone (thankfully). Now somethings have been changed like the concept of finding tinderboxes has been slashed. Finally, the physics interaction with doors, objects, ect. The notes that you find in the game help reveal the story and the random memories that you'll hear sometimes. Another similarity is the lantern, but this time around you don't need oil to power it. If any of you have played the Amnesia: The Dark Decent you'll know that I'm talking about. Some of the similarities so far is the darkness of the level design. This game has similar aspects as the original Amnesia: The Dark Decent. I've played 84 minutes worth and let me say this. Today Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was released.
